About the Print:
Revel in the warmth of Fleur de Soleil, ode to the golden hours when the sun lingers and the world slows to a dreamy hush. This print was born from an archive of antique beauty: 1891 watercolour and graphite studies of magnolia blossoms originally drawn for Tiffany & Co., Victorian lithographs of ripe peaches glowing like tiny suns, and a whimsical 1830 sketch of an imagined fountain and garden pavilion where one might spend an endless afternoon. Moths and butterflies flit along its edges, borrowed from early 19th-century insect encyclopedias, their delicate wings a whisper of transformation and flight. Rendered in soft washes of peach, coral, sage, and sun-warmed tan, Fleur de Soleil feels like the memory of a perfect day. It carries the charm of a secret garden, the sweetness of fruit warmed by the sun, and the serene beauty of a place where time is measured only by the drifting of butterflies and the clinking of glasses filled with sweet tea.
Please note: The nature of the soft bamboo/wood viscose means it’s slightly sheer, so we recommend a full or half-slip with this style when wearing it with bare legs.
100% viscose (derived from plant fibres such as bamboo and wood). Machine wash gentle or handwash and hang to dry. Iron to finish if needed.
